Last weekend our Cubs were meant to be embarking on our Stradbroke Island Camp, unfortunately only hours after arriving the Government announced that SEQ would be going into lockdown as of 4pm Saturday. This meant that our leaders had to organise over 30 Cubs and Adults to get off the Island and home in time which was a massive effort and executed amazingly. Whilst our camp was cut very short we still managed to enjoy a beautiful day on the Island! We got to play on the beach, go for a Gorge Walk which we even got to see some Whales, had our Water Safety talk provided by the Surf Life Club and ate just to name a few! We will be looking at attempt 2 again once we know more about our COVID situation in SEQ.
