Camps and Outings

Additional Fees

Apart from the Term Fees the other cost of Scouting is camps and outings.  At Gumdale, camps and activities will generally cost around $10 to $50 depending on the type of camp/outing and what the catering arrangements are.  

 All sections run a number of camps/sleepovers and activities so keep an eye on the Group website for dates and look out for notices about camps and activities sent out via Operoo by our Leaders.

Special Diets at Camp/Outings 

If your child has a special diet due to a medical condition it may be beneficial for food for a camp or outing be provided by the family. This will help in keeping costs down for the camp/outing and the child concerned will have food that they are used to.  

Please ensure that any special dietary conditions are noted on Operoo that all families must complete on joining Gumdale Scout Group and updated annually. 

Forms

To attend an activity or event, a form, usually an Operoo Notification will be sent out by the Leaders of the Section well in advance of the camp or outing.  It is important that these be completed by the requested date.

The form will also have details such as when, where, what time departing from the hall and when they are due to come back to the hall at the end of the camp or outing. 

Cost of the camp or outing will also be noted and funds can be directly via credit card on Operoo.

Please note that payment must be received before the camp/outing commences.  If payment is not received prior to or by the due date your child will not be able to attend the camp or outing unless prior arrangement has been made.
